North Texas Super Seminar

DATE: Saturday. November 8, 2014


TIME: 2:30pm - 4:30pm

LOCATION: University of North Texas, Denton, TX - Bahnsen Gym (aka The Snake Pit)


FOOTBALL TICKETS: Each Super Seminar student-athlete attendee will be provided up to three FREE tickets to attend the North Texas Mean Green football game vs Florida Atlantic University at 6:00pm at Apogee Stadium.

[In accordance with NCAA Bylaws, complimentary admissions are for the exclusive use of a prospect and those persons accompanying the prospect on the visit.]

SEMINAR: A college eligibility and recruiting Super Seminar for middle school and high school athletes and their parents. The North Texas Super Seminar is hosted by the University of North Texas and presented in partnership with the National Football League Players Association and the Texas High School Coaches Association. The event is free of charge, but space is limited and pre-registration is required.

The two-hour Super Seminar presentation will cover a full range of recruiting education topics, including:

  • Scholarship Myths and Facts 
  • NAIA and JUCO education
  • Scholarships, do they differ?
  • The Name Game
  • Negotiate/Cooperative Education
  • Dangers of Social Networking/Cell Phones
  • Saving for College
  • National Letter of Intent
  • NCAA and NAIA Eligibility Centers
  • Recruiting Services
  • NCAA Core Course Requirements
The University of North Texas is proud to be a partner in this initiative to provide high school recruits a no-strings attached event to be further educated about the recruiting process. We strongly encourage all student-athletes grades 8 through 12 to take advantage of this presentation and get the in depth information that can help them make informed choices not only about their recruitment process but their future in general.

Parking: Attendees may park in the ORANGE lot near Fouts Field for $10. This lot is a short walk to Bahnsen Gym and provides a pedestrian bridge to walk to Apogee Stadium.
